Fully functional, accurate data base tools assists management to understand ergonomic program status, progress, goals, targets and budgets, in order to track ergonomic activity for CA-OSHA and other program compliance requirements. Data bases will provide individual human body measurement and work place cube configuration information, which helps to provide efficient moves.

The team at Patenaude & Associates is unusually experienced with development and management of data bases related to ergonomic programs. Having pioneered development of several ergonomic programs and experienced with starting up data bases we have a wealth of experience responding to management information requests and designing reports.
Risk Score Analysis and Tracking
Reports including risk score analysis ensures that priorities are established and progress can be shown – i.e. reduction in risk scores. . The debate goes on as to whether or not it is essential to use academically validated risk score programs such as RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment) or use informal scores reflecting particular industry needs. Many of the existing scoring systems do not reflect absolute root cause and need to be modified. Though proponents would disagree, there does not seem to be any hard evidence suggesting one set of scoring systems is better than another.
Risk scores usually reflect the number of risk factors which are identified to be high risk. This helps to identify severity, priorities, and immediate vs long term time lines and risk reduction plans.
The Patenaude team is experienced in work with existing scoring programs or establishing “informal” risk score schemes.
Goals and Targets
When establishing or maintaining an ergonomics program, companies find it beneficial to establish current status and set goals. For example, a company of several thousand employees may prefer to designate a specific number of employees to participate in the program proactively per year, and to determine what percentage will be at low risk. This is often done for a company as a whole as well as broken down by business unit or management group. The data base will provide the metrics that management needs to ensure that their goals and targets are being met or where corrective actions may need to be taken. Our team has extensive experience assisting and/or preparing reports from which management can monitor and measure their group(s) status and progress.
Budget Preparation and Analysis
In order to ensure appropriate funding to support the proposed goals and targets, budget information must be developed and closely monitored. Our data base reports help to manage the ongoing budgetary requirements. As a part of overall experience with program management, the Patenaude team is fully experienced with all levels of budget preparation assistance and analysis.
